This story happened last week, and the TurkeyBuild trade fair was in full swing in Istanbul. The event was a hub of activity as companies in the construction and building industry converged to showcase their products and services.
Among the attendees were our boss and sales manager who had received an invitation to the event.
They arrived in Istanbul and were greeted by the beautiful view of the sea. They were excited to be a part of the event and looked forward to meeting potential clients and partners!
At the fair, they had luckily obtained an available booth, which attracted a lot of visitors interested in their doors.
As they were manning the booth, something extraordinary happened.
Our sales manager suddenly saw a foreigner who she had been chatting with online for half a year!
“I could hardly believe my eyes. ” she thought to herself as she gazed upon the person standing not far away from her.
After a moment of shock, she quickly pulled out her phone and began scrolling through the pictures she had saved of her foreign friend. With each swipe, she became more and more certain that this was indeed the person she had been chatting with online for the past six months.
Without hesitation, she dialed his number and waited for him to answer.
“Come over, I’m at…” he said on the other end of the line.
Her heart racing, she quickly made her way to the location he had given her, eager to finally meet her online friend in person.
They had connected over their shared interest for doors and life, and now, they had the chance to meet in person and discuss potential deals.
It was a delightful coincidence that left them both in awe of the serendipitous nature of life.
Over the next four days, our boss and sales manager had a great time at the trade fair, networking with other companies, and showcasing their products. But what they would remember most was the unexpected meeting that brought their online friend into the real world.
In the end, they returned home with many contacts, but more importantly, they left with a memorable story that reminded them that anything is possible in the vast and unpredictable world we live in.
